A healthy lawn all year long.

Prepare your lawn for winter dormancy in November with a few final sustainable lawn tips.

Dates may vary by geographic location and turfgrass species. Choose practices based on your lawn’s specific needs.

Things to do in November:

  • Leave the leaves. Mow, mulch, or compost fallen leaves.
  • Mow until your lawn stops growing.
  • Fertilize medium and high maintenance lawns after the final mowing but when grass is still green. The amount and timing of fertilizer applications should be determined by your soil test results, lawn quality, and maintenance preferences.
